My Lullaby

A cat bedtime story for kids

A soft, purring bedtime story about a busy little kitten who curls up and purrs herself to sleep — cosy enough for heavy eyes.

My Lullaby writes a new story every night, starring your own child.

Clementine the Kitten and the Cosy Curl

In a warm house with big sunny windows, there lived a little kitten named Clementine — soft and grey, with white paws like four small socks.

All day long, Clementine played. She chased a bouncing ball of wool across the floor. She pounced on sunbeams and batted at falling leaves and climbed all the way to the top of the big soft armchair, just to see what she could see. She was the busiest, bounciest little kitten in the whole house.

But when the evening came, and the windows went dark, and the house grew soft and quiet, something began to happen inside Clementine — something warm and slow and sleepy.

She padded over to her favourite spot: a cushion by the window, where a patch of moonlight lay soft and silver. She turned around once… twice… three times, the way all cats do. And then she curled herself up into a tiny, perfect ball — nose tucked under her tail, paws folded neatly in, warm all the way around.

And deep inside her chest, a gentle sound began. Purr… purr… purr… soft and low and steady, like a tiny motor, like a little song. It was the cosiest sound in the world, and it was Clementine's very own lullaby.

Purr… purr… purr… With every breath, the little kitten grew warmer and heavier and sleepier. Her purring rocked her, soft and slow, the way the sea rocks a boat. Her eyes grew heavy. Her paws went still.

Outside, the moon climbed high over the quiet house. Inside, curled in her patch of moonlight, warm and round and content, Clementine purred softly to herself — slower now, and softer, and sleepier — until at last the purring faded to a whisper.

And the little kitten, curled up cosy in the moonlight, closed her eyes and drifted gently off to sleep.
