My Lullaby

Bedtime stories for toddlers

Toddlers need the shortest, softest stories — simple words, a gentle rhythm, and a calm goodnight. Here's one to read tonight.

My Lullaby sends a new, age-appropriate story every night, starring your little one.

The Little Duckling's Goodnight

A little duckling splashed in the pond all day.

Splish. Splash. Splish.

When the sun went down, the pond grew calm and still.

The little duckling paddled to the soft, warm nest.

"Goodnight, pond," said the duckling. The pond was quiet.

"Goodnight, reeds," said the duckling. The reeds swayed softly.

The little duckling tucked its head under a tiny wing. One slow breath in. One slow breath out.

"Goodnight, little duckling," whispered the moon.

And the little duckling fell fast asleep.

The Little Lamb's Blanket

A little lamb had a soft grey blanket.

She took it to the field. She took it to the gate. She took it down to the pond and all the way back again.

The blanket got a little muddy. The blanket got a little wet. The little lamb did not mind at all.

When the sun went down, the barn grew quiet and warm.

The little lamb lay down in the soft straw. She pulled the blanket right up to her chin.

"Goodnight, blanket," she said.

The straw was warm. The night was still. Somewhere outside, the grass moved in the wind.

And the little lamb closed her eyes and slept.

Goodnight, Little Puppy

A little puppy ran and ran.

He ran after a ball. He ran after a butterfly. He ran after his own wagging tail.

Round and round and round he went.

Then the sky turned soft and grey, and the garden went quiet.

The little puppy stopped running. He walked slowly to his basket by the door.

He turned around once. He turned around twice. He lay down with a big, happy sigh.

His ears went soft. His paws went still.

"Goodnight, little puppy," said his mother.

And the little puppy slept, dreaming of the ball, the butterfly, and his own wagging tail.
